We have written a fun adaptation of "Twas the Night before Christmas" by Clement Clarke to get you into the Holiday spirit!

Twas the Month Before Christmas

Twas the month before Christmas, when all through the store Every creature was stirring, even the store mouse The ornaments were hung on the tree with care, In hopes that customers would soon be there. The owners were exhausted with wornout shoe treads, But visions of happy customers danced in their heads. But Lori in her apron, and I in my sweater, Had settled our brains that are displays were much better. When out on the street there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the register to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash. The sun beamed on the luster of the brown truck Which gave rise to anticipation and the stroke of pure luck. When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a large UPS truck, filled with boxes of cheer. With a young strapping driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be my UPS driver Nick. More rapid than eagles his deliveries they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called us by name! "Now Tami! now, Chrisy! now, Tracy and Lori! I brought candles! And purses! And, aprons and jewelry! To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall! Now dash away! Dash away! And decorate with them all!" As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky. So down Branch Street the deliveries they flew, With the truck full of cheer, and UPS Nicholas too. And then, in a twinkling, I heard down the street The tapping and clatter of several women’s feet. As I drew in my head, and was turning around, Down the street the women came with a bound. From their heads to their toes they were dressed in warm clothes and the spirit of Christmas quickly arose. With hands full of shopping bags, overflowing with tissue of red, gold and green Moving with swift force they were quite the sight to be seen. Their eyes-how they twinkled! Their laughter so merry! Their cheeks were like roses, and A smile they did carry! The packages were wrapped up and tied with a bow, And their faces shown with an accomplished glow. Women bustled all about the store, their arms filled with things their loved ones would adore. They squealed in delight as they took in the decor, And shook with excitement as they beheld sales galore! We sprang to the register, and gave our team a whistle, And before we all knew it they were gone like a missile. And then I exclaimed, as they walked out of sight, "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"
